Oral Roberts University Uses Google+ Hangout for Groundbreaking Event with Incoming Students

TULSA, Okla., June 21, 2012 /Christian Newswire/ — Oral Roberts University (ORU) broke ground recently with an innovative new way to engage with current and prospective students through social media. The university hosted their first Google+ Hangout to discuss life on campus. This interactive time allowed students to talk to ORU staff and ask questions about what to expect on campus.

Students had a chance to ask questions in a live, video setting to Aaron Brown, director of Student Experience about what life is really like on the campus of ORU. ORU worked in partnership with Media Connect Partners (mediaconnect.co) for this innovative event.

ORU’s next Google+ Hangout event is Thursday, June 21 at 5 pm ET/4 pm CT. Participants will learn moreabout the College of Arts and Cultural Studies by talking to Dr. Wendy Shirk, dean of the college.
